The Photography of David DesRochers

BIO

David's passion for nature photography was sparked by a trip to Glacier National Park in the summer of 2000.  As a backpacker and member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, he spends time exploring the outdoors and has discovered that seeing nature through the lens of a camera has heightened his awareness and appreciation of the natural world.

Following a long career in the advertising industry, David has devoted his time to working on environmental issues in his home town of Cranford, New Jersey.  As a member of Cranford’s Environmental Commission, he developed the group’s web site www.mygreencranford.org which is designed to promote ideas for sustainable living and includes a photo gallery of local wildlife.

He shares his favorite images on this web site hoping you will find enjoyment in viewing them and that they may inspire you to open your heart and mind to the wonders that nature has to offer.  With the increasing demands of a growing population and the challenges of climate change, each of us must play a role in protecting the wild areas that remain so the balance in nature can be preserved.

What we do each day can make a difference.  Learn how you can help by visiting any one of the conservation organizations listed on our Resources Page.
